Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"A true farm to table experience. Gorgeous menu with a lot of options, great wine list, and the service was impeccable. We had the oysters, beef cheeks, seasonal beet salad, and they treated us to a few apps and delicious caramels. Lovely for any occasion."
"Walked in on a Saturday night and got a table for a random special occasion. The food was great - comfortable non-pretentious food prepared with great skill and creativity to elevate it into something special. The cocktails were amazing - their bar is extensive and the bartender knows what they’re doing. I drink a lot of mescal margaritas and I was not expecting to have one of the best I’ve ever had at a farm to table spot on Clinton! Next time I’ll try some of their wines, which they make at their farm and serve along a large list of wines from around the region and world. The staff were super friendly, down to earth, and seemed to absolutely love the food they were serving. Lots of that food comes from their own farm in the Willamette Valley! This ended up being the perfect spot for our special occasion, but it was so accessible that it would be great for any occasion that demands fresh, delicious food. I’ll be back many times in the future, I’m sure. I’ll be dreaming about the beef cheeks."
"We had a wonderful meal at 82 acres. Although the garden space in the back is spectacular in the summer, when it gets chillier the inside is cozy and there is an outdoor enclosed heated patio. In typical Portland style, we enjoyed superior food in a casual atmosphere. The kitchen is open and you can watch the chefs at work. There is a full bar and creative cocktails, although we chose wine by the glass; many offerings from their Abbey Road winery supplemented with other curated choices. It’s hard to pick which dish we enjoyed the most. everything from the fried green tomatoes to the bone-in pork chop to the incredible salad were top-notch. We will definitely be back."
"Dined at the bar last night and AGAIN (2nd visit in 10 days - Yes - obsessed w 82 Acres) experienced a magnificent meal. Started with the Farm fresh egg with trout row and an Old Fashioned cocktail. Next was the Broccoli Rab and the Gouda Burger with a rye bun...beautiful food with flavors that encourage you to slow down and experience the beauty and taste of dining fresh at 82 Acres. Brittanee (5 star mixologist, server, wine and food seeker) enhanced my dining experience. I can't wait to go back!!"
"Easily one of the best restaurants in Portland! From the moment we sat down it was clear we were in for something special. The menu is thoughtful, seasonal, and beautifully executed, but the dishes themselves go beyond expectations. Every plate felt balanced, intentional, and full of flavor in a way that makes you pause and appreciate the craft behind it. We started with the beet and cauliflower dishes, both exceptional in their own ways. The beet was earthy and bright, while the cauliflower was rich and satisfying without being heavy. Paired with their warm naan and herb butter, the opening bites set the tone for an outstanding meal. The mains continued the momentum. The roast chicken was remarkably tender and deeply seasoned, the salmon was perfectly cooked and silky with a decadent sauce, and the beef cheeks incredibly tender with layers of flavor that revealed themselves with each bite. Everything felt elevated yet comforting, a combination that’s hard to pull off. For dessert, the caramel dumpling was unforgettable. Warm, rich, and beautifully balanced, it was the perfect finish to a meal that impressed from start to finish. 82 Acres is the kind of restaurant you immediately want to return to, because meals this good don’t come around often."
"Somewhat of a disappointment. I hope it was just a bad night, though it’s a Saturday. The drinks were just OFF, they’re not to the point of complaining but definitely not up to par with Portland cocktail scene. The food was ok (3 stars for “food” bc of the drinks). The seafood wasn’t cold enough to inspire confidence and the prices are definitely pricey for Portland when compared to the quality. The chicken was great though. The steak was cooked at a nice medium. Service also felt a little unpolished but it’s not a huge deal."
"After a girls getaway to Abbey Road Farm it was essential to finish with a farm-to-table dinner at 82 acres. The majority of ingredients are sustainably grown & harvested from their 82 acre farm. Everything else is locally sourced in the Willamette Valley. Love how it all ties together."
"We may as well all admit that we are never going back to pre COVID prices and that you are going to have to spend to eat out. So that means that the disaster scenarios are: you pay a lot of money for food that you can make at home or you pay a lot of money to leave hungry and have to stop at in-n-out on the way home or both. So my review of 82 acres is that I spent a lovely 2.5 hours here, had a great meal without intrusive service, had food that I could not make at home, and left full. 5 stars."
